LDSS girls’ junior basketball team headed to zones

The junior girls’ team qualified for the first time in 20 years.

The Lakes District Secondary School (LDSS) girls’ junior basketball team headed to zones in Prince George from Feb. 15-18. The junior girls’ team qualified for the first time in 20 years.

This year, the LDSS girls’ basketball team consists of 10 players from Grade 9 and 10. They will play a minimum of three games.

In the 2022-2023 season, the junior basketball team played against Fort St. James and Nechako Valley Secondary School to become the district champions. They qualified for the zones after beating Nechako Valley Secondary School and Fraser Lake Elementary basketball teams in the mega tournament held in Fort St. James.
