The Burns Lake Minor Hockey U18 held a tournament on March 7, 8 and 9 in Burns Lake. It was the recreational playoffs for North West District. Smithers was the winning team who took the banner home, Burns Lake place second, Prince Rupert place third. There were eight teams in attendance from across the district. In this game Burns Lake Minor played a great game against Houston. Burns Lake won—score 5-3.
