Burns Lake RCMP were conducting a search for an overdue trapper in the area of Uncha and Binta Lakes on Feb. 28 after a missing person report was issued.
This search was supported by RCMP helicopter, BC Conservation officer, Burns Lake Search and Rescue, and some locals residents.
The search concluded later in the day when sadly the missing person, an adult man, was found deceased.
There is nothing to suspect foul play and BC Coroners Service has conduct of the investigation.
Burns Lake RCMP are appreciative of the organized support efforts for this search as well as the outpouring offers of support and information from the local community.
