Active transportation open house

The second open house for the development of the new Village of Burns Lake Active Transportation Plan was held on June 12, 2023. Amy Wainwright from Plan North Consulting who coordinated the open house said, “The open house was fairly well attended with almost 20 attendees. We distributed copies of the draft plan and asked for input on the plan recommendations. All input received will be evaluated, and the draft plan may be amended based on the comments.

Amy Wainwright from Plan North Consulting who coordinated the open house said, “The open house was fairly well attended with almost 20 attendees. We distributed copies of the draft plan and asked for input on the plan recommendations. All input received will be evaluated, and the draft plan may be amended based on the comments. The final draft of the plan will be presented to Council at the July 18 regular council meeting.” The draft active transportation plan creates a new version and framework to support active transportation goals with in the community. A new pedestrian and cycling network are proposed along with supporting infrastructure improvements.
