The Burns Lake Band (BLB) will soon be holding a by-election to fill a vacant councillor position.
Gilbert George is no longer a councillor. His term was set to end in just over three months, on Oct. 21, 2016.
A meeting of the electors of the BLB to nominate candidates will be held at the band's office on July 20, 2016 beginning at 5 p.m.
The by-election will be held on Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the band's office.
