On Sept. 10, the Burns Lake Band held its nomination meeting.
Nominated for chief are: Albert Gerow, Ryan Tibbetts and Dan George.
Nominated for councillors are: Dan George, Wesley Sam, Ron Charlie, Cecilia Sam and Jean Sam.
The nominees must still accept their nominations and Dan George, if he accepts his nomination, must decide between running for chief or councillor.
October 2010 Albert Gerow was elected as chief along with Dan George and Wesley Sam as council.walt
Gerow took over the reigns from outgoing chief Robert Charlie who represented the Burns Lake Band as chief for 22 years.
The election is scheduled for Oct. 22, 2012.
