Burns Lake Community Forest Ltd. has named Jim McCormack as its new president.
During his report to Mayor Strimbold and council at the May 27 Village of Burns Lake council meeting, councillor Frank Varga reported that McCormack had been named president
Varga is also on the board of directors for Burns Lake Community Forests Ltd.
McCormack takes over the role of president from Wes Sam, who resigned in April due to time constraints.
McCormack was the vice-president previously.
At press time, Kerry Martin, Operations Manager for Burns Lake Community Forests Ltd. could not confirm or comment on the report.
