Burns Lake Rotary Club’s auction raises $33,000

Exchange student Leonardo Miotte of Brazil helped out the Burns Lake Rotary Club with their annual auction last week – Rotary’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Over the course of the two-day event, over $33,000 was raised. The event brings hundreds of community members together – either by donating items, volunteering or placing bids. All the money goes back into the community. Past projects include the Burns Lake Cemetery revitalization and the Rod Reid Trail upgrades. (Laura Blackwell photo)
