Burns Lake Native Development Corporation (BLNDC) recently auctioned the remaining equipment from Burns Lake Specialty Wood (BSW).
Built in the early 1990s, BSW closed approximately 10 years after operations began. In 2008, a new trim block processing facility, Keyoh Dechun IIah, commenced operations at the old BSW site in Decker Lake, but also closed after approximately one year.
According to Chantal Tom, BLNDC manager, BLNDC is currently trying to sell the land where BSW and Keyoh Dechun IIah were located.
