The president of the Burns Lake Community Forest has resigned his position.

The president of the Burns Lake Community Forest has resigned his position.

Wes Sam, former president has stepped down due to time constraints, according to operations manager Kerry Martin.

"President Sam has stepped down due to time constraints. A replacement will be decided after Comfor's AGM in May," Martin said via email.

Vice-President Jim MacCormack will assume president duties until a replacement is named.

The Village of Burns Lake is accepting applications from individuals interesting in serving on the board of Comfor Management Services Ltd. (CMSL), the municipal corporation that holds the shares in Burns Lake Community Forest Ltd.

At its March 11 regular meeting, council agreed to hold CMSL’s Annual General Meeting on May 15 at 7 p.m. The lengthy delay is required to allow for adequate public advertising.
