Drum Run Adventure Tour comes to Burns Lake

Drum Run Adventure Tour came to Burns Lake on Oct. 17 at Lakes District Secondary School. Lyle Povah percussionist and runner was joined by eight local residents for a drum session. Povah inspired them with a historical and cultural aspect of drums and how drums are important to First Nations. He has been working with the B.C. Children’s Hospital with a mission to raise funds for kids to have the best experience when they are hospitalized.

Drum Run Adventure Tour came to Burns Lake on Oct. 17 at Lakes District Secondary School. Lyle Povah percussionist and runner was joined by eight local residents for a drum session. Children’s Hospital with a mission to raise funds for kids to have the best experience when they are hospitalized. He has been working for the last 32 years with the pediatric hospital. After his tour, he is planning to go back to Vancouver and work with children through music teachings and learning at the hospital. Next year, he is planning to make Drum Run 2.0.
