Burns Lake conservation officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in the shooting of a bull elk near Burns Lake.
The five point bull was shot off of Hwy. 16 just east of Priestly Hill, between Burns Lake and Endako. Although the edible portions of the carcass were taken, the head and velvet antlers were left behind along the highway on Aug. 3, 2016.
According to Burns Lake conservation officer Jeff Palm, this animal is not believed to have been involved in a motor vehicle collision.
Any information can be forwarded to the report all poachers and polluters hotline at 1-877-952-7277.
