Due to the continued risk to public safety, the Evacuation Alert and Evacuation Order areas previously issued for the China Nose forest fire currently burning south east of Houston, BC remain in place.
The Evacuation Order remains in effect for the area south from 9840 Heading Creek Forest Service Road, west to the Snow Mobile Cabin on Equity Mine Road, east to and including Crow Creek Road beyond the train tracks, east to 22387 and 22507, and north to 25699 Rose Lake Cutoff Rd, including Day Lake Road, southern portions of the Forestdale Canyon Road, Bulkley Lake, Day Lake and Elwin Lake, as per the attached map.
The Evacuation Alert remains in effect for Highway 16 from 13003 continuing east and southeast on Highway 16 to 17670 including the North Road Forest Service Road (north) and Maxan Road Forest Service Road (south) including the north portion of the Sunset Forest Service Road.
