Houston's Canfor sawmill was the site of a small fire last week.
The Houston Fire Department was called to the mill at about 8:30 a.m. on July 20, 2016.
"We arrived at the scene and found out the fire was on the roof of the electrical precipitator," described Houston fire chief Jim Daigneault. "We sent a couple of guys up on the roof to see what was going on and they found some sawdust and wiring smouldering on the roof, and some flames."
It took approximately two hours for the firefighters to extinguish the fire.
Daigneault said it's hard to point out the cause of the fire at this point. However, he believes an electrical equipment might have overheated.
There were no injuries reported.
On May 10, 2016, Houston's Canfor was the site of another fire. At the time, Daigneault said it was the biggest sawmill fire he had witnessed in 14 years as a firefighter. More than 20 firefighters worked in shifts throughout the night to extinguish the fire.
