The Burns Lake Volunteer Fire Department popped by William Konkin Elementary School on May 2. The firefighters that gave the presentation included fire chief Rob Krause, Jason Blackwell and Rose Seminuk. The department brought the big fire truck and did a presentation to the students how the lights, sirens and water hoses worked. There were also 25 Strong Start children present for this event. Each child received a fire fighter hat and colouring set from the fire department. It was a great time. (Submitted photos/Lakes District News)
