It is expected to be built in the same spot on Keefes Landing Road and the rebuilding should start as early as the spring, the couple told Lakes District News. The loss of the store and restaurant was a blow for Southside residents, who regarded it as a community hub. Kimberley Saffel and her two children lived above the store in an apartment, which was also destroyed in the blaze. Community support through GoFundMe campaigns, a donation account at Bulkley Valley Credit Union and a fundraiser lunch in December raised more than $11,000 for the Martin and Saffel families.
