Hand gun and explosive device seized at Prince George residence

A search of the property found a .22 calibre hand gun and an improvised explosive device

A hand gun and an explosive device were located after the Prince George RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant on a South Kelly Street residence on Feb. 23, 2012, at approximately 4:45 p.m.

A subsequent search of the property found a .22 calibre hand gun and an improvised (homemade) explosive device. Both were seized without incident.

On the morning of Feb. 24, 2012, one adult female was located and arrested as a result of the search.

This investigation is a part of a larger, ongoing investigation. Although no charges have been recommended at this time, investigators are hopeful there will be charges forthcoming.
