On Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 5:55 a.m., the Burns Lake RCMP was dispatched to a single vehicle roll over collision on Hwy. 16 by Augier Main Forest Service Road. BC Ambulance and Burns Lake Fire Rescue arrived prior to the police officers and determined the sole occupant; an 18 year old man was deceased at scene.
Highway 16 is closed but traffic is being detoured through the Babine Forest Products mill yard. Estimated time of opening is between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Local RCMP have confirmed the victim was not a local resident.
