A house on Brown Road, approximately 23 km south of Burns Lake, was fully engulfed by flames in the morning of June 2, 2016.
According to Staff Sgt.Charlotte Peters with the Burns Lake RCMP, the fire comp-letely destroyed the house. There were no injuries and the fire is not deemed suspicious. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The Burns Lake Fire Department did not attend the fire because the property was not within a fire protection zone.
