Large turnout to discuss annual allowable cut in Burns Lake

A public meeting to discuss the Lakes timber supply area’s (TSA) annual allowable cut (AAC) had to change its location due to a large turnout last Thursday. The meeting was originally scheduled to take place at the Burns Lake Public Library, but the approximately 200 attendees caused the meeting to be held at Burns Lake Gathering Place. Concerned residents believe that the proposed AAC reduction for the Lakes TSA poses a serious risk to the health of the local forest products industry.
