Burns Lake’s newly elected officials - councillor Michael Riis-Christianson and Mayor Chris Beach - were sworn in by Burns Lake staff sergeant Charlotte Peters on Jan. 11, 2017 at the village office. Beach and Riis-Christianson were elected in Burns Lake’s by-election, which took place on Dec. 10, 2016. This council has less than two years left on their term.
