School District 91 fills gaps in principalship in local schools

Francois Lake and Grassy Plains schools will have a new principal.

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is filling principalship gaps in some of its schools, including Francois Lake Elementary School and Grassy Plains Elementary–Secondary School.

The new principal at Francois Lake Elementary School is Don Beadle.

According to Charlene Seguin, superintendent of schools for School District 91, Beadle is an experienced educator looking forward to joining School District 91.

Beadle started his education career in the mid 1980s and since then has worked in a variety of locations including Hartley Bay, Lower Mainland, the Sunshine Coast and most recently in the Nisga’a School District.

The new principal at Grassy Plains Elementary–Secondary School is Natasha Toth.

"Natasha recently completed her masters in education leadership from Vancouver Island University and is looking forward to learning more about the Southside community," said Seguin.

Toth most recently taught at the Coast Tshimishian Academy in Lax Kw’alaams, B.C., and was a lead teacher on a variety of initiatives.

Fraser Lake Elementary-Secondary School will have a new vice principal - Dean Coder. He is from the Kamloops School District, where he was a teacher, principal and most recently a director of international education.
