A seat belt has saved the life of a woman in Burns Lake during a car crash last Monday, according to the RCMP.
The single-vehicle crash took place approximately four kilometres south of Burns Lake, on Hwy. 35 by Beach Road. The single occupant of the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Burns Lake staff sergeant Charlotte Peters, alcohol and speed are believed to have been a factor.
The road was reduced to single lane alternating traffic for a couple of hours.
