Truck collides with moose

On Friday, November 11, 2011, RCMP Burns Lake Detachment received a report of a motor vehicle incident on Highway 16 West.

At approximately 5:34 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011, RCMP Burns Lake Detachment received a report of a motor vehicle incident on Highway 16 West.

Police immediately responded to the location of the motor vehicle incident 13 kilometers West of Endako. Police investigation determined that a 2006 commercial vehicle, traveling West, and bearing an Alberta licence plate, struck and killed a moose on the highway. A second commercial vehicle proceeded to run over the moose which caused the driver to enter the South ditch. Both commercial vehicles sustained damage. Neither driver was injured in the incident.

RCMP Fraser Lake continue to investigate this matter.
