Truck runs over worker in Fraser Lake

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor vehicle related incident south of Fraser Lake.

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor vehicle related incident south of Fraser Lake on Jan. 31, 2016.

He is Jacob Wadsworth Low, aged 23, of Mannville, Alberta, a small community about 170 kilometres east of Edmonton.

Mr. Low and a co-worker were driving an empty logging truck into a camp south of Fraser Lake along the Holy Cross logging road in the early afternoon of Jan. 31, 2016. They stopped to deal with mechanical difficulties with the truck, in the course of which Mr. Low was run over by the truck. He was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service, WorkSafeBC and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Low has been notified of his death.
