An ‘unsightly premise’ located across the street from Lakes District Secondary School was demolished last week. The building, which had been empty for a number of years, was most recently used as a storage area for building supply materials. In response to concerns from the public over the state of the building, the Village of Burns Lake worked with the property owner, CA Fischer Lumber Ltd., to bring the property into compliance with village bylaws. The future status of the property is unknown at this time.
