The Village of Burns Lake is warning residents to be careful when washing coloured clothing this week as village crews will be flushing hydrants in order to clean them.
According to the village, flushing hydrants can cause water to become discoloured with manganese.
"The water is quite safe, but higher concentrations have an unpleasant colour," says the village.
If your water becomes discoloured, the village advises you to let the tap run for 20 minutes until it runs clear.
