Chinook Community Forest #K4R – Forest Stewardship Plan Amendment # 1

Please be advised that the Chinook Community Forest (Chinook), consisting of Burns Lake Band, Cheslatta Carrier Nation, Lake Babine Nation, Nee-Tahi-Buhn Band, Skin Tyee Nation, Wet’suwet’en First Nation, the Village of Burns Lake and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has requested the Minister’s approval to amend Chinook Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP). The FSP is part of the requirements for the license #K4R. This is an FSP amendment to address the 2023 wildfire areas within the landscape connectivity matrix within the community forest.

Chinook’s proposed Lakes TSA Forest Stewardship Plan will be referred for a period of 30 days starting February 28, 2024 and will be made available for review at the Chinook Community Forest office, Monday through Friday by appointment, during normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm. A representative from Chinook will be available to answer questions and address concerns pertaining to the proposed amendment.

Comments must be received no later than 5:00pm on April 1st, 2024.
