Allin Short passed away suddenly on October 23, 2009; Allin was born May 3, 1951 to Innes and Marjorie Short. He was born in Burns Lake and went to Elementary school at Noralee and then the Francois Lake Elementary, graduating from Lakes District High School in 1970; he continued to live the rest of his life on the farm at Colleymount, on Francois Lake. Allin enjoyed hunting and fishing and was involved in the local Rod and Gun club as well as the Colleymount 4-H club. Allin went to the Phillippines in 1991 and married Venus Ruiz, when Venus arrived they resided in the new home that Allin had built on Short RD, they then started their family of four children. Allin is survived by his wife Venus and their children, Lyle, Morgan, Alana and Shantel, by his father Innes Short and his sisters, Della (Mike), Eileen and Deborah (Wayne) and nieces and nephews. Allin was predeceased by his mother Marjorie in 2006.
