Passed away on September 16, 2010 with his wife and family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Arnie was born on March 10, 1927 in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.  He lived for many years in Vancouver where he worked for Dominion Bridge Steel and then started his own chain link fence company “Built Rite Fencing”. Arnie loved the north country and eventually made Burns Lake his home.  He spent many years living out at Babine Lake, working at the Pinkut Fisheries and Babine Lodge. He and Jannetta spent many vacations travelling into the   northern parts of B.C.  Arnie had a passion for reading, particularly stories about the north and the Yukon.  He loved to share his books with others and chat about them upon return. Arnie was always a great story teller.  He shared many memories of snowmobiling on Babine Lake with friends, as well as adventures into the bush country. Arnold Norris is survived by his loving wife Jannetta, sister Muriel (Larry) Simpson, daughter Deana Bitterman, daughter in law Carollee Norris, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 niece, 2 nephews, his precious little dog QT, many extended family and friends.  He is predeceased by his wife Marjorie (1969) and his son Dale (2009). No service by request.  There will be a drop in tea at the Heritage manor on Saturday October 16th anytime between 1 pm and 3 pm.  Come and join Jannetta, family and friends for a visit.
