It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Tom Shelford on April 7, 2018.
Predeceased by his father Hugh Shelford and his mother Doreen Shelford. Tom is survived by his loving wife Doreen, sons Bryan (Tania) and Colin (Kim), grandchildren Linden and Everett, siblings Doug (Janneke), Mike (Delcy) and Kathy (Keith) plus numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Born and raised in the Lakes District he spent nearly his entire life in the region. Started out logging in the Andrew Bay area back in the Eurocan days and later moved on to supervisory roles with Eurocan/West Fraser. Later he joined his brother Doug in partnership operating the family cattle ranch for several years.
Always selflessly willing to help out in the community. Long time volunteer with the Lakes District Fall Fair Association, Eagle Creek Recreation Commission, Trout Creek Recreation Commission, and Lakes District Cattlemen's Association.
Service has been held. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
