On Friday October 18, 2019 August Harold Miller passed away at the age of 62. August was born on August 17, 1957 in Lac La Biche, Alberta to Herman Miller and Mabel (Anderson) Miller. He grew up in Decker Lake, BC alongside his nine siblings. He married Lynn (Shields) Miller on June 11, 1982 in Burns Lake, BC. They raised six children together. August was a jack of all trades, working as a paramedic, logging truck driver, skidder operator and volunteer fire fighter to name a few. He spent a majority of his former years as a welder before his retirement. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and community. He had a passion for listening to music with a soft spot for Elvis Presley. August was well known by many for his one of a kind charisma and his extraordinary sense of humor. He was an incredible poet and a man with an irrepressible spirit.
August was predeceased by his father Herman, mother Mabel, as well as his brothers Horace, Craig, Larry and Barry. August is survived by his siblings; Ray, Lawrence (Carolyn), Geraldine (Menno), Frank (Barb) and June, his wife Lynn; his six children Vicki (Jason), Ron, Pamela, Curtis, Barry and Chassidy (Joseph), his grandchildren; Cayla, Jessica, Spencer, Kaitlyn, Bryce, Haileigh, Henry, August and Shiloh; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. He will be greatly missed. No service will be held as per August's final request.
