Bruce passed away in a canoeing accident Thursday morning on Tchesinkut Lake, south of Burns Lake, June 23 at the age of 47. Bruce loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hiking and canoeing. He travelled throughout BC and Alberta over the years working as a bridge builder, home builder and finishing carpenter. Bruce was a skilled and meticulous craftsman. He built many homes during his life and earned a reputation of fine workmanship from his many customers and employers. He was a free spirit and led a carefree life, always following his dreams and desires. Bruce went to high school in Victoria, BC and shortly after graduation moved to the Bulkley Valley area where he made his base while working and travelling in Alberta, Hawaii, Yukon Territory and throughout BC. He will be lovingly missed by his mother Mary Inkster, his sister Susan Ralph (David), his brothers Hank and Keith, nephews Clayton Ralph, Kale White and niece Catherine Hunter. He will also be missed by the many friends and colleagues he made during his travels and work throughout his life He was predeceased by his father Ray Inkster and his sister Catherine Inkster.
