On Tuesday December 2nd, Mr. Dan Mruk of Oliver passed away after a long illness at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 77 years.

He was predeceased by children Stanley (9yrs), Violet (4yrs), Harry (1 month); parents Harry and Violet Mruk; brothers George and Mike and sister Alga.

Dan will be fondly remembered by his family including loving wife Mary; children Roberta of Kamloops, Carey of Grand Prairie, Wayne of Prince George and Troy of Calgary; grandchildren Vicky, Raschell, Amanda, Kalsie, Katie, John, Tieanna and Mattisyn as well as great-grandchildren Isabella and Madison.

Dan was born on May 10, 1931 in Berwyn, AB and raised in Brownvale, AB.

Over the years he was a farmer and a logger. He ran his own sawmill at Sheridan subdivision in Burns Lake, BC. and also worked for Babine Forest Products.

Dan was a devoted Christian. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

A funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday December 6th at the Oliver Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment will be held at a later date in Brownvale, Alberta. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
