David was born September 6, 1921 in Aberdeen SK. In 1948 he married Martha Redekopp, and together they had six children. In 1964 he moved his family to Burns Lake BC where he worked as custodian for the local School District. In 1994, Dave and Martha moved to Abbotsford, most recently to Menno Terrace. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Dec 9, 2011. Dave is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha, and his children, Darlene (Cliff) Jones, Fran (David) Buhler, Stan (Leona) Martens, Gary (Carol) Martens, Joyce (Dan) Siemens, Melanie Martens (Curtis Wrobel). Dave’s life was defined by his faith in Jesus Christ, his love for his family, and his honesty in life. The family would like to thank the staff at Menno Terrace and ARHCC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons.
