Hart, Donna Rae
Early on the morning of her 75th Christmas our beloved Donna went to be with her friend and savior the Lord Jesus Christ. Many people in the Burns Lake area came to know Donna, her loving husband Duane and the rest of the Hart family during their summer visits to Francois Lake. They made the long trek north from Phoenix almost every summer for well over two decades. Donna made their beautiful Airstream RV a true “home away from home” and loved the guests who visited them in their favourite spot at Sandy’s Resort. We will all remember her loving smile and gentle ways. You could always count on Donna for kind and caring words, and would most often be invited to stay for one of her delicious meals or desserts. Donna loved the lake and could probably out fish most people in the Resort but would never have bragged about it!
The mutual love and devotion she and Duane shared was both touching and inspirational. They faced all of life’s challenges together, hand in hand, right until her passing.
She expressed her love of our Heavenly Father in many ways, but particularly enjoyed playing piano, organ and accordion to accompany praise and worship in the churches she cheerfully served.
She was a great blessing to all who knew her and she will truly be missed. She is survived by husband Duane, son Robert (Michele), daughters Nancy, Susan (Steve) and Joyce (Mike) and nine grandchildren.
Her funeral service was held on January 2nd, 2009. Memorial donations in her name can be made to “The Hospice of the Valley” 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
