It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Doris, in their home in Cache Creek, at the age of 49. Survived by her loving husband Robert, her family in Oregon - children Naomi (James & Jeremiah Schneider), Patrick Jones (Jami, Lindsey & Katie), Andrew Jones, her mother and father, six sisters and one brother and their families. As well, Tanya, David, Michael, Shawn (Sharon Bennett) Ruffell and the rest of the Ruffell family in Burns Lake, as well as the many friends she met along the way.
Doris was widowed as a young mother, employed at a long term care facility, she faced many hardships but struggled on, to make a good life for her and her children. In 2001, she met Robert, and in 2002 left her home in Oregon, and her grown-up family, to move to Burns Lake and marry Robert on Aug 10, 2002.
