Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, and storytellers.
We are mourning the loss of Elmer Anderson, also known as 'Poppa' or 'Fudd'. He passed away peacefully on May 15th, 2023, at 89. After a lengthy health battle, he was given a loving farewell with his family at the Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Poppa, predeceased in 2018 by his wife Doris, was married for 64 years.
He is survived by his sister Sonja Rowland, son Terry Anderson, daughters Tracy Helgeson (John) and Lynn Anderson, grandsons Travis, Russ, Sean, Cory (Adrianna) and granddaughter, Brandi.
He has four great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Kentin, Tyroh and Lala, plus Poppa's adorable little Biewer dog, Angel, who brought him so much joy.
Poppa's life can be summed up in one sentence: A kind, gentle and adventurous soul with a life well-lived. Rest in peace, dear Poppa.
We will always miss you.
