Died suddenly but peacefully at the Penticton Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 14, 2003 in her 91 year. Essie was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1978.
Survived by her children, Linda (Jack) Lawrence of Penticton, Albert (Patricia) Beach of Burns Lake and Elsie (Elarry) Evasin of Prince George; step-daughter, Ethel (Bob) Gilliland of California; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; one niece and one cousin.
Essie was born in Victoria. She moved to Ootsa Lake near Burns Lake in 1935 where she met and married Fred in 1937. They eventually moved into Burns lake where they lived until 1978 and then moved to Penticton.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery followed by a reception at her home. In lieu of flowers donations to the Penticton Rehabilitation Arthritis Fund care of Penticton Regional Hospital Medical Foundation would be appreciated.
