Gene (92) suddenly passed away September 5, 2016 doing what he loved - picking raspberries and being with his family.
We know he’s rejoicing in heaven with Jesus and others who have gone before him.
He was born on July 7, 1924 in Walla Walla, Washington as the third of five children. He was a farm boy at heart from the beginning until he went to heaven. Anything he put his hand to do, he could craft or do it. Even this weekend he was planning to build his next project out of old barn wood to help complete the collection of furniture he had recently built for their new place in town.
He is survived by his dearly loved wife of 66 years, Muriel; his children - son Terry (Marj); daughters - Julie (Bruce) Gaunt and Nancy (Tim) Plesko; son-in-law Daniel Berry, 8 beloved grandchildren and spouses and 5 deeply loved great -grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Kathryn Berry.
Please join us on Saturday, September 17 at 2:00 pm at Ootsa Lake Bible camp for a memorial service to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Village Missions or Ootsa Lake Bible Camp.
