Joe Lobermayer was born March 8, 1939 in Austria and suddenly passed away peacefully Feb. 16, 2018 at Prince George Hospital leaving behind his loving wife of 53 years, Sophie.

Joe came to Canada in 1954 and lived the last 40 years at Colleymount, Burns Lake.

He worked in the forest industry. He was a part-time volunteer campground host for B.C. provincial parks for 12 years plus 8 years as a part-time caretaker at Pondosey wilderness resort (Van Tine's camp) at Eutsuk Lake. He loved his family, life and fishing.

Joe is survived by his son Christian (Rhonda), grandsons Ian (Carmin), Curtis, great granddaughters Aleyah and Amelia, sisters Anna Mueller of Switzerland, Helga Ofner of Prince George, brother Gunter (Tove) of Prince George, sister in-law Theresia Hofer and Maria Lobermayer of Austria and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by by his mother Pauline, father Josef, 2 brothers Felix and Franz, and brother in-law Jurgen Ofner.

In tears we watched you sinking, we watched you fade away and though our hearts were breaking, we knew you could not stay.

Sleep in peace my love, until we meet again. Sophie and family.
