It is with great sadness the family of John William (Bill) Symes would like to announce the sudden passing of their father July 11 2018.
Bill was born in Meadow Lake Sask. to Ernest and Jane Symes. He was the 5th child of 11. Bill had a passion for life. He loved fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling and spending time with his family at the Ootsa Lake fishing derby!
Bill lived in many places in his life but spent most of his years in Burns Lake, Fort Nelson and last Fauquier where he made many close friends. Bill had many stories to tell but it was up to you to decide if he was pulling your leg or not! Bill was a talented millwright and if you had a problem he would find a way to fix it. When he came home to Burns he would spend his time with his dog Lady at Ootsa lake visiting with all his friends and fishing!
Bill is survived by his 5 children Bill (Shelley), Candice (Mark), Warren (Nancy), Bonnie (Mike), Ted, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great- grandchildren. Brothers- Ernie and Hector. Sisters-Sarah, Roxy, Isabelle, Marie, Gloria, Grace, Vicki and many nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceased by dad Earnest, mom-Jane and brothers Orval and Terry.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
