Kelly Haugen, aged 31 years, passed away March 25, 2018 surrounded by her family. She died from unexpected medical complications; after an immense effort was made to save her life. The family would like to thank, medical staff at Lakes District Hospital, emergency responders for BC; and PGRH ICU staff for their efforts and support.
A cremation ceremony was held Easter Monday at Fraserview P.G. On June 16, 2018 a celebration of life (Medieval theme) will be held for Kelly. The event will be at the "Red Wolf Inn: 17129 Larch Road Telkwa, BC.
Kelly Haugen was born and raised in BC. She met the love of her life, Jeffery Smithman in 2008 back in Fort St. John, BC. The couple have one beloved son Kainen, Born March 2012. Kelly has two siblings; brothers Shayne and Liam, whom she loved very much.
From a young age Kelly showed real talent in Art. Early March Kelly attended a sketching class and did free hand portraits of her son and grandmother, that she was especially proud of. Kelly also did commission charater sketch work for online gamers. Other interests included SCA, Artist guild, Gaming, Hobbies and WKE pac.
Kelly had a heart of gold, smart wit, quirky sense of humour and a bit of a stubborn streak.
Kelly was a beautiful soul, with big brown eyes that would sparkle when she smiled.
Kelly is sadly missed and always cherished by her family and friends.
Rest in Peace Kelly.
