Lillie Sides passed away unexpectedly in Grande Prairie on February 25th. She was born in Burns Lake on May 9th, 1977 and is a Lake Babine Nation member.
She attended school at Decker Lake Mennonite School. She lived in North Central BC most of her life and held many roles including teacher's assistant and band administrator; however, the role she cherished most was as a mother to Dartanion and Dimetri Aldred. The family moved to Grande Prairie in 2004 for economic opportunities. Lillie had an admirable work ethic often working two jobs to make ends meet. However, it was her good-natured spirit, kindness, and fun-loving attitude that she will most be remembered by. She was loved by all and will be missed.
Memorial Service will be held on March 6th at 7 pm at the Margaret Patrick Memorial Hall. Funeral Service will be held on March 7th at 12 pm at the Margaret Patrick Memorial Hall followed by Potlach.
