Martha was born July 10, 1919 in Gould Town Saskatchewan to Peter and Anna Schultz. She was the sixth of 14 children. on June 30, 1941 Martha married John Klassen in Orley Sask. The search for a home took them to several communities in Saskatchewan like Carrot River, Crooked River, Tisdale and Reserve Junction. Then it was off to the west to test life in the Rocky Mountains, the first stop was in the little saw mill town of Penny. With several moves back and forth from Saskatchewan to British Columbia they finally settled in Burns Lake in 1954. In the spring of 1948 they made a trip to Regina to pick up their first adopted child, Jerry. Then in 1962 they made a trip to Kamloops to pick up Randy. Three years later with another trip to Kamloops Brenda filled out the family. Mom was felt her family was complete, and God had blessed their home. On Oct. 9 of this year mom suffered a stroke that left her paralyzed and unable to speak. On Tuesday, Nov. 22 at about 7:45 pm with Randy and Alvina at her side mom closed her eyes and quietly went to be with Jesus. Mom lived 92 years, 4 months and twelve days. She leaves to mourn her three children, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Also left behind is her only living brother, Uncle Abe and his wife Margaret and many other extended family and friends.
