“Called Home to Heaven”

A very special Husband, Father and Grandpa was called back to heaven on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 3:35 am.  Mitch was 73 years old and born on July 5, 1931.  He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sophie and his 7 children:  Ruby  William (Dean Tiljoe); Marlene (John) Nooski; Michael Ogen Jr; Barry Ogen; Maureen (Robert Jr) Luggi; Karen Ogen (Stewart Larson) and Reg Ogen.  Mitch will also be missed by his 17 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.  Mitch is also survived by  numerous relatives/cousins from Stellat’en First Nation; his niece Jennifer David  and nephew, Gary Naziel (Melinda), all of Moricetown, BC.  He loved his Wife, Children and Grandchildren very much;  His family knew him as a very generous man who had a great sense of humor; he also loved to read; watch Hockey Night in Canada; the Price is Right and he enjoyed working hard outdoors landscaping, making firewood and shoveling snow.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 7:00 pm at the Stellat’en Community Complex.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Stellat’en Community Complex with Father Lewis Kwena officiating.  Burial at Stellat’en Cemetary.  Bat’lats to follow. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Burns Lake Hospital Hospice Room.  Sophie and her children would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses at Burns Lake Hospital; Vanderhoof Hospital and Prince George Regional Hospital.  Thank you to all the family and friends who visited with him in the past 7 weeks.  He has touched our lives in so many ways and his memory will be forever cherished.  We love you Papa and we miss you already.  Until we meet again.
