Myles "Smokey" Horne

The family of Myles sadly announce his passing from cancer July 10, 2011 in Burns Lake, B.C. srrounded by family and friends. Myles was born in Calgary, December 24, 1947 then raised and educated in Lethbridge graduating from the Lethbridge Community College. After working as a Park Ranger in the Grande Prairie and Lac La Biche areas, he retired in 1996 to Francois Lake to further enjoy his love of the outdoors. Myles was predeceased by his father and mother, Jack (J.K.) and Eva Horne. He is survived by his beloved companion of 22 years, Wendy LeBourdais, his sister Jacqueline Dorchak (Michael) and brother Douglas (Barbara) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Trout Creek Hall at 2pm, Sept. 10, 2011. Please bring your favourite appy and story of Smokey to share. The family would like to thank the staff at the Burns Lake and Vancouver General Hospitals for the caring manner shown to Myles during his illness.
