Penny was a longtime resident of the Lakes District, born in the remote wilderness of the Cariboo, Penny came to the Lakes District with her two beloved sisters Mary and Jackie and Mary's husband George, at a young age. She met Ray and they had two children, Randy and Linnea.
Penny was a farmer. She loved haying with Violet. Hard work and family is what she believed in. After leaving the farm, Penny worked for many years at Nordic Ford then at Sullivan's.
Penny leaves behind Ray, daughter Linnea (Keith), Syrina and Austen, son Randy (Ma Lourdes) and John, sisters Mary and Jackie, her in-laws Wanda, Iris and Melvin, as well as nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who helped Penny with her final fight with cancer as well as the community who supported her.
