Richard Alan Clare, 65, of Burns Lake lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the Burns Lake hospital.
Richard was born in Princeton, B.C. and spent forty years working in the mining industry as a heavy equipment operator. He was force to take an early retirement due to ill health.
Richard was pre-deceased by his mother Elinor Clare and his father George Clare. He is survived by his wife Elaine and his children Darren and Hilary Clare. He is also survived by his brother Dave Clare and family of West Kelowna, B.C., his sister Dianne Perpelitz and family of Calgary, Alberta and his sister Wendy Doole and family of Surrey, B.C.
Cremation has taken place. There was no service as per Richard's wishes. Grace Memorial Funeral Home and Crematorium in Vanderhoof, B.C. were in charge of all funeral arrangements.
