Virginia Jane "Ginny" Anderson

November 6, 2005

A Celebration of Life Service for Ginny was held Nov. 12, 2005 at the First Mennonite Church with Pastor Jim Massey officiating.

Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Dwayne and children Tabatha (T.J.) and Tyrone, her mother and father Richmond and Jane Cowan, sisters, Cheri Clarke and Cindy Lindaas, brothers, Richie, Fred and Hughie Cowan, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ginny was predeceased by her brother, Tony Cowan in 2003.

Ginny was born in Ashcroft, B.C. and she and her family lived in Kamloops and Cashe Creek until moving to Burns Lake when she was a teenager to live near extended family. She met and married her husband Dwayne in 1985 and lived at Tchesinkut Lake for the 20 years of married life.

Ginny was a very private person, dedicated to her family and her home. She and Dwayne raised two responsible young adults. Ginny loved doing handicrafts and working in her garden where her and Dwayne spent many enjoyable hours together. Dwayne, Ginny, T.J., and Tyrone were a very close, loving family and enjoyed many wonderful holidays to many parts of the world.

Ginny was also a dedicated employee and worked at Loper’s Accounting for several years then went to Nordic Ford as controller until the company closed in 2003. She was loved and respected by all those who worked with her.

Just a few months after she finished work she was diagnosed with cancer and spent 2 1/2 years fighting a courageous battle.

Our beloved Ginny will be sadly missed by all her family and friends but her memory will be in our hearts forever.
